In 2025, League of Legends completely abolished the split system and reverted to a yearly reset system. Without a rank reset, the year was divided into three themed seasons, each with a unique theme and narrative arc. The first season, "Invitation to Noxus," featured a Noxian-themed Rift and the addition of new epic monsters from Noxus. A shoe upgrade system reflecting Noxian ideology was introduced, and the storyline featured Mel's return to Noxus after the Arcane incident and his quest to expand his influence. The Black Rose awakened Atakhan and journeyed to Ionia to obtain the Darkin weapon. In the second season, "Beyond the Boundary of Spirit Blossom," the Rift was transformed into a Spirit Blossom theme. The Blue Team's wells were given an Akana theme, the Red Team's wells were given a Kanmei theme, and the turrets were replaced with statues of Spirit Blossom Morgana and Ashe. The Namu Wiki story began with Xin Zhao, troubled by the Spirit Blossom blooming in Demacia, traveling to Ionia at the behest of Jarvan IV. A new reward philosophy was implemented in 2025. Masterwork Chests were removed from the store on January 6, 2025, and achievement levels were disabled on March 5. The League of Legends Seasons system was introduced, unfolding the stories of champions across Runeterra over three seasons. Each season featured themed gameplay, game modes, skins, champions, and more, spanning two Acts. The third season of League of Legends, "Twilight Trials," saw the release of the Xin Zhao ASU patch and the World Championship. The 2025 World Championship, held in China from October 14 to November 9, celebrated the 15th anniversary of League of Legends esports. Namu Wiki Each season's theme created an immersive experience across the game, offering players new and exciting experiences. Ban/Pick Close
